In the Elk Mountains above Crested Butte, a meteorological phenomenon drops Colorado’s lightest, deepest powder right on Eleven’s 1,000+-acre cat-skiing tenure. Here, far from any crowds, our guides deliver untracked lines for days, with soft open faces, glades, and technical couloirs accessed only by our custom snowcats.

Set on our cat-skiing tenure deep in the Elk Mountains, our Movie Cabin and Cat Barn keep you going in the summer and winter with fireplaces, cozy dining spaces, bars, and historic wooden builds. If you're resort skiing, you can rest and refuel at our loft at the base of Silver Queen.

Custom-Tailored Adventures in the Rockies
Our lodges deliver Colorado’s best outdoor opportunities year-round, from mountain biking, fly fishing, and hiking, to cat-skiing, snowshoeing, and ice climbing.
Cat-Skiing
Head out straight from the lodge in our custom snowcats to ski 1,000+ acres of Eleven-only terrain in nearby Irwin. The snow here piles up to about 450 inches per year and weighs in as some of the lightest in the world. Tack on our on-mountain cabins, expert guides, and variety of terrain, and this is a bucket list experience for every type of skier.
Mountain Biking
Considered the birthplace of mountain biking, the Gunnison Valley is home to a huge variety of single track that your guides will help you navigate.
Hiking
Let our guides show you secret trails lined with wildflowers. Whether you want to spot wildlife in aspen forests or summit a peak, everyone's welcome.
Float Fishing
Float the Upper Gunnison River’s Gold Medal water with two anglers to a boat and an expert guide. Your guide will ensure you’re fishing the best stretches based on preferences and conditions, and equip you with top-of-the-line angling equipment.
Snowshoeing
Snowshoe through snow-blanketed meadows, aspen glades, and timbered forests in Crested Butte, or hike in Irwin and link up with your friends and family who went cat-skiing.
Cross-Country Skiing
With 50 kilometers of classic and skate skiing trails, Crested Butte is considered the Nordic Ski Capital of Colorado. Head out with our guides to experience the locals’ favorite pastime.
Walk and Wade Fishing
Target brown, rainbow, and brook trout on the Taylor River, East River, Tomichi Creek, and the Gold Medal water of the Upper Gunnison. You’ll be kitted out with top-of-the-line rods, waders, boots, tackle, and flies. Our guides specialize in everything from teaching beginners the art of casting, to mastering skills with seasoned anglers on the beats that are fishing best.
Rafting
With highly trained guides and epic scenery at every turn, rafting is a must. Paddle the Gunnison with the kids or take on the rapids of the Taylor River.

Billy Rankin is a veteran ski and mountain guide for Eleven with 30 years of experience. Based in Crested Butte, he’s passionate about deep powder, good people, and unforgettable days outside.

Lani Bruntz
Lani Bruntz is a Lead Guide at Irwin and Heli Ski Guide in Iceland for Eleven. With over a decade of guiding experience, she thrives on connecting with guests while chasing powder and sharing unforgettable mountain experiences.
Elisha Kayser
Elisha Kayser is the Assistant Lodge Manager at Scarp Ridge Lodge and Sopris House. Originally from Montana, she’s worked everywhere from New Zealand to Antarctica and now calls Crested Butte home. She’s passionate about people, good sourdough, and creating unforgettable guest experiences.
Thomas Lindsey
Originally from Texas, Tomas—aka Juice—is now a Crested Butte-based ski, bike, and river guide who lives to share the stoke and chase powder, pedal, and flow.
Megan Paden
Megan Paden has spent 25+ years in the mountains, from ski patrol to avalanche forecasting. Based in Crested Butte, she guides for Eleven at Irwin, Rio Palena Lodge, and Deplar Farm. Off the slopes, she enjoys adventuring with family, gardening, and working with her horses.
Mark Robbins
Mark Robbins is a seasoned guide based in Crested Butte, with over 15 years coaching freeride skiing and exploring Irwin’s legendary powder. A certified PSIA instructor and IFSA coach, he brings deep local knowledge and a passion for sharing Irwin’s wild, uncrowded terrain.
Mars Charlebois
Marissa “Mars” Charlebois is a ski guide at Irwin, known for her enthusiasm, environmental advocacy, and love of big mountain terrain.
Jimmy Tart
Jimmy Tart is a ski guide with nearly 30 seasons of patrolling, avalanche education, and backcountry guiding experience.
Elise Brizes
Elise Brizes is a cat skiing and backcountry guide based in Crested Butte. With a background in engineering and avalanche education, she brings both technical skill and contagious energy to the mountains. When she’s not guiding, she’s outside, writing to friends, or hanging with her two cats, Remy and Ru.

Jeff Horvat has spent more than half his life guiding rafting, mountain biking, and hiking adventures across Colorado. He loves sharing the outdoors with guests and creating unforgettable days.
